Applying for Funding
The Friends welcome applications for funding to provide amenities for patients and staff of the hospital. Applications usually come from hospital staff or NHS management, but we also welcome suggestions from current and former patients, their families and friends, and members of the local community. Thanks to the remarkable and ongoing generosity of our donors and legators we have funds available, ready and waiting to make a difference.
Apply for Funding Today
To apply for funding please either download, fill out and return our funding application form, or simply email us at . Either way, you will need to provide us with the following information:
Your name, job title and contact details (*email/telephone)
A brief description of the equipment etc. for which funding is requested, detailing the cost of each item
The total funding applied for
A brief explanation of the benefits to patients and/or staff
Lastly, please include the following statement: ‘I confirm that the Friends of Mary Hewetson Hospital Keswick charity, will not be responsible for any ongoing costs of operation, maintenance, repairs, training etc.’
Approval Process
Upon receipt, applications will be considered for approval by the trustees either at the next scheduled Friends meeting or by email communication. We will contact you to let you know if your application has been successful, or denied, or needs adjustment.
If approved, purchases should in general proceed via the NCIC purchasing department. It is important to inform them at this stage that they should invoice the Friends to recover the cost.
